I’m a celebrity! Just kidding. But I must say I’m proud that I could be in Czech food magazine F.O.O.D. and on Czech TV. I don’t suppose you understand Czech so it’s pretty sad you can’t enjoy enough my 2x 15 mins of fame. 🙂
On Friday June 6th I got an e-mail invitation from Dobré ráno (Good Morning) production. Wow, live cooking on the national TV. I wasn’t sure it was not a joke from someone I know. I risked it and replied. I can say now it was real. The main task was to prepare 4 to 5 course menu made of olives. Well, not easy, cause I use olives mostly for salads and pizza. I chose olives marinated with rosemary and lemon zest; green cucumber gazpacho topped with olives; grilled veggie salad – with olives again; and martini, stirred, not shaken, with a green olive.
The show starts at 5.59 am and I needed to be there at 5.30 am. I stayed by my friends in Brno (thanks, guys!), the studio is about 5 mins walk. It saved me cause I hate getting up so early in the morning. If possible I sleep till 9 am at least. Well, B. made me a breakfast, dressing up and make-up were the only things I had to worry about.
It was pretty cool although I was so nervous. The staff was so nice to me I didn’t say or make any crap.
Thanks to everyone who watched this (especially to Jiří, my mum, siblings and friends for their quick feedback) and supports me in cooking and blogging.
