The last trip of 2015
By Šárka Hubáček Leave a Comment
Last year wasn’t the best one for my blogging. I had ideas but no desire to make it happen. But at least we travelled more than before. And enjoyed it us much as we could. Let’s talk about where we were for the last month or so of 2015.

Mexican tortilla
By Šárka Hubáček Leave a Comment
I just love wraps, burritos, and tacos. And can you imagine having one of these without a tortilla? No way! That’s the reason why this flat bread is one of my favourite. It’s easy to make, easy fo fill, easy to eat. Don’t be afraid, there’s no time consuming kneading, no rising, no baking. All…

Šárka on Czech TV

I’m a celebrity! Just kidding. But I must say I’m proud that I could be in Czech food magazine F.O.O.D. and on Czech TV. I don’t suppose you understand Czech so it’s pretty sad you can’t enjoy enough my 2x 15 mins of fame. 🙂

The Sunday Picnic
By Šárka Hubáček Leave a Comment
This is not gonna be a recipe. Not now. We just want to share some pics from our Sunday’s picnic. Get some inspiration and enjoy summer sun outside! I made a sponge with raspberry jam and coconut, Welsh rarebit muffins with cheddar and spring onion, and ham & peas pasties. We also brought some homemade lemonade and…

Apple Crumble with Vanilla Custard
Who wouldn’t love crumble? It’s so easy but delicious dessert. Apples are actually not one of my favourite fruit. For a snack I prefer mango, berries, even pear. But when it comes to baking, almost nothing can beat apples. Pies, tarts, tartlets, cakes, even spicy cooked apples are great stuff (I’ll add this recipe later). And…

We’re celebrating!
And we have a good reason for that. Not only we’re launching this pretty cool design of Little Food Lover, but Šárka finished her bachelor studies today (she’s officially the bachelor of marketing and PR). What a great day for a glass of a real French champagne (it was a gift from our dear friend)….

Tarte Flambée
It’s so easy! This kind of dough doesn’t consume a lot of time. I love it even for homemade pizza. And tarte flambée some kind of pizza actually is, right? French-German pizza with lots of sauteed onions and bacon a sour cream… I hope you would love it at least as much as we do….

Iced Coffee
By Jiří Hubáček Leave a Comment
I got this idea for this kind of preparation last summer, gave it a try and now this is my top-of-mind Ice Coffee preparation. Weather outside, here in Central Europe, impels us to cool ourselves. However it might not seem logical at all but more healthy is cooling ourselves with a hot beverages. Just take a look…

Eating in London is a pleasure. But you need some plan of how get to a place where the food is. It wasn’t easy at all for me to find some info about traveling in London last year. First, I thought about getting a travel card. Then I found the Oyster card would be more…

Green asparagus and bacon salad
By Šárka Hubáček Leave a Comment
Hot days, quick storms, rainy days. The weather is so spring-is-turning-into summer like. The most important thing about these days isn’t the weather but the asparagus season! Those white and green shoots are something you can really get fresh only in this period of the year. You should definitely enjoy it as soon/much as possible….

London vol. I: Food
By Šárka Hubáček Leave a Comment
The thing I really love is food. I wasn’t a fan of cooking when I lived with my parents. It changed few years ago when I started to live with my love of my life – let’s call him J. I had some slips like cake-mix-muffins or pasta sauce made with ketchup, tomato puree, and…
